Default Would you change these plugs?

    Some background info:

    04 4Runner V8, 255,000KM

Reason I'm asking is because the original plugs from factory are Denso Iridium which are good for approx 200,000KM (as per online, 120k miles).

These ones I pulled are NGK Iridium, so assuming they were changed somewhere near where the recommended interval is, they should still be fine.

Previous owner was pretty good with maintenance and kept most of the records, but I can't find any record of when the spark plugs were actually done.

Also plug #2 looks pretty oiled up and smelled of gas

They look fine with moderate gases on the ceramic. That said, if they are out I change them, even if they are iridiums.

Also those trucks love having the throttle plate cleaned, loosen it off it and clean it off with penetrating fluid front and back.

Should probably change them since they are already out

Probably took more time to take those pics, upload them and make this thread then change them out

Well imagine if instead of writing that letter to the editor, she just posts on a car forum for car enthusiasts. That's Kritafo.

If I had the plugs I probably would've but I thought I'd double check before I purchased them.

#2's running a tad bit cold, looks like a dirty injector. there is also an obvious valve cover leak you should take care off as well.

They don't look terrible, because they are iridium, but it looks like they have been in there for a while.

like everyone's mentioned if they are out, may as well replace them.

I say the plugs look fine to me. If I pulled them and didn't have replacements already lined up, I would just regap them and plug em back in.
