I think I like Renault the best so far.

That Renault is stunning. I do like the sidepods on the Ferrari though as well. Interesting to see the differences in design

We so need the V12 back - link
That's just traction control sounds. They prob turned it on so vettel can stop crashing in testing.Originally posted by speedog

Still would rather have the V12 sounds.
Will fuck off, again.
Surprise , Surprise LH is fastest in Pre Season Testing

10 Fernando Alonso (Spa) McLaren 1:24.852 *
11 Marcus Ericsson (Swe) Sauber 1:26.841
* time set on 'soft' tyres; all others set on medium tyres
It's only testing.
Ferrari looking good reliability wise, right up there on lap counts with the Merc.
Ferrari set that on medium? Hand them the WDC now!
The numbers are so meaningless in the first days of testing. Engines are barely running anywhere near race power, parts don't work with each other and are tested for it's individual contributions, and drivers are just getting used to all the new procedures around a lap.
Give it a few days, I'm excited to see which team is going to beat the outright lap record. It's going to happen with the new cars.

For sure. We won't know who is actually the fastest until Q3 of Melbourne. There was that year that Williams ran with no ballast for testing to try to attract sponsors.Originally posted by rage2

For all we know Ferrari could be doing the same thing and instead of trying to attract sponsors, they're all trying not to get fired by Sergio.Originally posted by JustinL

So far they seem to have sorted reliability. Last year's was just horrible with Vettel throwing away a lot of points.
I'm still cheering for LH/Merc this year, just hoping everybody else would be closer in pace.
It has to be grueling for the drivers to put in so many laps in a relatively short amount of time. I was looking at a table of total laps on Reddit, and MB has done over 300 laps on the first day of testing(2016/2017 combined), while no other team has done 200...
Sounds like the old blown diffuser cars.Originally posted by speedog
