Rainer's great. I'd like to try Revivify the next time I bring my car in to him.
Been about a year since Rainer did mine and I couldn't get my car wet if I tried. Still beads off like crazy.

Looks like I will be going with Jed @ Autokosmetik once my vehicle gets delivered. So far he's been great with pricing and prompt email responses.

That is the thing with Jed. He will always make sure you leave happy. There really is no reason why you would go elsewhere. Just top notch service in general.

Tint tech is my go to, they have done 4 of my cars and everytime its flawless. Corners are really good and Tommy makes sure to tuck any possible edge.

My somewhat neutral position on NanoDefense has come around to being very happy overall (not that I wouldn't have recommended them, my previous posts show that I couldn't really tell if I should be happy, if that makes sense). Truck still looks great.

Rainer got me in to redo the deer hit area. Truck looks fantastic. Honestly, if I had to say anything about the work, I think Rainer needs to make sure he has some time available to really go over what he did for customers, as he mentioned, he is a busy guy, but he's got to toot his own horn a bit, dense customers like myself don't see him going above and beyond unless it is pointed out. I've actually come across PPF on the truck and gone "huh, didn't realize he did that".

Got my car back from Jed and it's a looker - not a fancy car by any sort, but it looks great

    @403ep3

Is it a full wrap and what was the pricing like?

PM is reasonable if you don't want to share the price openly

It wasn't a full wrap - didn't feel like a Venza was worth a full wrap lol

    I got:
    - Partial front PPF
    - Tint on 4 windows to match the rear
    - Revivify graphene coating
    GO FLAMES GO!

I take my stuff to Richard at Refine Auto but we are pretty lucky that there are a lot of capable installers in Calgary. I see a lot of horror show threads from forums from owners in the US for more money than what we pay for worse work.

Too many rich people in US with nice cars and everyone opening shops to cash in on this market. Over half of them are shit and don't pay attention to detail.

Isn't it worth just spending the extra money and wrapping the whole car instead of doing half in PPF and half in coating?

That's what I did for my car and thinking back, I'd just YOLO and get it all wrapped.

still a cost difference i believe, coating a whole car is around 1k whereas wrapping the entire car is up around 5k+
trying is the first step towards failure

The coating and the film don't exactly serve the same purpose either.

yeah, there is a significant difference in cost. but why stop there? go full wrap and coating

Wrap and Nanocoating are different decisions completely. You can do one or the other or both.

Doesn’t affect the “how much to wrap” debate at all aside from how hard it hits your wallet.
