Stek has the hydrophobic coating which seems to work pretty well. Did you namedrop rage2 and benyl? Can confirm that works...well...at least one of the two.
Nah, no names were dropped.. silly me.
    Perhaps next quote.

When you name drop rage2 and benyl, do you need to use their e personas or their white man names?

    Asking for skr
All of the above to be sure.

What is the go to place for the PPF these days ? Shadow Tint?
I see they have 4 different packages. In the past I have gone with the Deluxe Package (Or what ever the equivalent at that time). Is that the way to go ?
It is for my wife's car , it is a 2020 Mini Countryman

    TIA

Precision Auto Films and Nano Defense have both been recommended on this forum. I have not used either although I'm working on choosing one.
I belive that all three shops can be negotiated with if a_) you mention beyond.ca or b) some reputable member (not me) or c) you are a good negotiator.

Best way to get good prices is to be a repeat customer. My guess is Shakalaka gets every third car free.

ShadowTint uses Stek. Nanodefense, Xpel. PAF= ?.

ShadowTint has always been good to me and I prefer the hydrophobic Stek to Xpel.

I wanted to circle back on this and see what people thought about the hydrophobic properties, particularly how they hold up after 1, 2 or more years. If it's something that lasts 6mo, then.....

Just picked up the Q7 from Rainer at Nano. Awesome job and it shows in the details, very meticulous. I’m happy enough with Xpel since I will coat it anyways.

My XPEL is coated with ceramic and has held up on my truck after a year, and held up for 3 really well on my mercedes.
Albeit limited kms in both cases.

Ya know, I don't think I'm baller enough to lay for ppf and ceramic. Maybe I should embrace my blue collar roots and save some money.

Buy my cheap circular saw while you are at it. There is no faster way to slash a CPA's tires.

    I have Stek. Works good.

I also coated both cars, including windows and wheels with: https://www.turtlewax.com/our-produc...c-wax-coating/

Mostly just spray the dirt and grime off. Only have to rub the car once in a while.

I’m going to clay and apply again (once a year) in the next couple of weeks.

yes, because fallout still embeds itself in PPF.

If you guys want to clay, save your money and get one of these:

    https://www.amazon.ca/Nanoskin-AS-01...229582&sr=8-12

So nice to work with too, soak the whole ting in some diluted ONR or lube of choice.
