Well the physics behind it is:

Your pipes supply a set amount of water at a certain flow rate (let's use 1000L/hr as the measure, or m3/hr). We'll use W m3/hr.

Based on your current showerhead, the total number of holes gives a certain area to flow out of X m2 at a specific velocity Y m/hr.

    So, W = X times Y
W is constant from the city supply. X goes down, Y goes up.

In reality, the flow restrictor works because there is so much resistance and friction caused by the restrictor obstructing water flow that W goes down as well.

Yea in a practical sense all that means is you are doing the equivalent of putting your finger over the end of a hose. Except in the shower head case you end up with tiny streams that feel like needles on your back.

Would be horrible in my house as I can't adjust the flow rate on my showers.

If the restrictor is different than or upstream of the small holes at the end then it can be more like a flaccid waterfall rather than needles. I realize that doesn't sound much better to most. I bought some cheap low flows/valves that do the lower velocity a while back and they're fine for me.

    Right.

Either sadomasochistic back needles, or the less sexual flaccid waterfall. Either way, most will want their old shower head back.

What a shock, it looks like the NDP might have been rigging the RFP.

“It was pretty clear from the start that RFP that was put out was targeted towards the one company that won it. We know that because in order to find some of the do-dads that they wanted, that company’s name kept coming up as the supplier,” he explained.

I spent a long time trying to pick a shower-head, did lots of research etc. The only ones that are any good are high volume with good pressure. The more water you can get over as big of an area as possible, the better it is. The high pressure / low flow ones just blast you with super skinny streams of water and it takes way longer to wash shampoo out, etc. There is simply no substitute for high volume and decent pressure. You might even use less water because it takes less time to clean yourself. The first thing I do with any shower head is pull out the water saver.

You can save water by brushing your teeth in the shower. Seriously, that's what Jennifer Aniston says.

I usually go the no shower route. Way more earth friendly and David Wolfe told me pressurized water is a toxin so its stupid to take showers anyways

A good low flow nozzle aerates the water, making it act like much more volume.

    Good work again fuckface moron.
Miss the point much? Could be from outer space.

Makes no difference as long as the workers are Canadian first and Albertan close second.

Which, thanks to Jason Kenney were temporary foreign workers at Tim's.

It's going to cost a lot more that $500/house. I have over 100 light bulbs in my house. And my plasma need to be replaced with carbon tax.

    Hi.

I have a really old plasma tv. It uses a lot of power and gets really hot.

Will this program change it out for a newer energy efficient led tv?

all those "smart" thermos are not cool

best is to get an offline one or ethernet one that is self managed and remove the ip gateway
