Any showerhead pros here? The website says they will be replacing old showerheads with ones that "conserve water and save money while enhancing pressure, performance." Any truth to the pressure part, or are these just low flow POS?
Your pipes supply a set amount of water at a certain flow rate (let's use 1000L/hr as the measure, or m3/hr). We'll use W m3/hr.
Based on your current showerhead, the total number of holes gives a certain area to flow out of X m2 at a specific velocity Y m/hr.
So, W = X times Y
W is constant from the city supply. X goes down, Y goes up.
In reality, the flow restrictor works because there is so much resistance and friction caused by the restrictor obstructing water flow that W goes down as well.
