    Default 2016 T4R Trail Edition

A little background I was coming from a Trailsteam FJ Cruiser, but wanted some more cargo/passenger space. So the relative upgrade for myself would be the 4Runner. Buying used for the generation wasn't really an option as they are bonkers for what they go for on the used market.

As for my decision to why I chose the Trail Edition, simply put we did not have the TRD Pro in Canada yet and it offered all the options I wanted such as synthetic material on the seats, Crawl Control, Multi Terrain select being a few of the standard options

First day with the truck here it is at the dealer

Took it home and installed the TRD Pro Grille I had ordered.

    Before

    After

The next day I dropped my truck off at Balance Auto Garage. There I had a full Toytec lift, my Volk TE37, and wheel spacers waiting

To fit the 33 inch tire set a body mount chop was required as well cutting 3 inches of bumper off along with modifying where the splash guard sat and it's actual shape to avoid any sort of rubbing. This was all done with 50km on the clock

Finished product after the lift, along with this I had Tinttech tint the front windows and I had the entire front end from mirror forward wrapped in XPEL Ultimate

Wheels are 18x9J 0 offset Volk TE37 large PCD with a 1.25 inch spacer (roughly -32 offset) with Goodyear Duratrac

I installed Phillips LED lighting in all the interior, reverse lamps, puddle lamps and such

To continue along with my TRD Pro look I removed the bumpers to use bumper paint on the bumper inserts

Here was the finished look after that stage

For night driving I installed a 5000k HID kit and for the DRL and highbeam I went with a LED kit

Here is a LED VS Halogen comparison

Winter came along so I purchased a set of TRD Pro wheels with studded Goodyear duratracs. Along with this so I can hit the trails I installed a set of Demello Offroad sliders. This is currently how the truck sits as of today

The nice thing also about the 4runner was that I have a 17 inch spare, I did purchase a BFG KO to run as a 33 spare, and it tucks nicely under the truck

Enjoy I'll be updating this thread as much as I can

Love it. Did Sun help you at south pointe?

Awesome truck. Man you work fast.
And that GT3 is not bad either.

Wife and I were looking at a runner there too. Didn't pull the trigger but I got a decent vibe from that dealership.

Let me know it was pretty tough to beat the deal they offered, free ECP, they gave me a Tacoma for a month while my runner was coming in. And a great price too

Appreciate it. This was about two years ago.

    Sierra filled the void.

These 4Runners never caught my attention until I saw yours.

    Looks great!
