Looks like Jabba is set to win.

Holy shit, I did not think these many people would vote for Billabong.

Nenshi and Druh in the lead.

Seems too early to call it
Unless South vote is all counted and Nenshi still leads, than I can see calling it. Otherwise its still 51 vs 44. Could get close if they keep counting.

None of the wards are close to completed counting, but basically all the wards show nenshi in the lead. Most likely a Nenshi win here, 10k votes is huge ground to make up.

Haha Nenshi bashing on Global started immediately.

Shit if he had a full war chest and better economy, I doubt this would be as close as this got.

At the end of the day, I think hardcore conservatives sided with Nenshi on the arena issue and that the messaging of the green line review was too vague and lost Smith a lot of the suburb vote. Those are likely the 2 issues that decided this election.

Smith went on about the trailer park, but no one gives a damn about poor people. Should have stuck with bike lanes, salaries, taxes, Uber, and public art.

There were only a handful of holdouts at the trailer park and they're probably gone now as well - it wasn't really an issue any more.
    Will fuck off, again.

    Stats and probabilities.

With Murray Edwards completely pissed off at Nenshi, I wonder if this is it for the Flames here.

20 mins ago only ward 12 had a smith lead. Current numbers has ward 13 and 14 with smith lead.

It’s been extremely difficult to get numbers. The election Calgary site is the worst run site I’ve seen operate under load. Not only that it auto refreshes so by the time you’re done looking at 1/2 the page, it refreshes and gives you nothing for 5 mins lol.

That's why Smith is holding out hope. They probably love to see a 49/47 and may be a recount.

That’s not going to happen IMO. If Smith was more ahead in suburbs and not just Deep South, then sure there’s a probability that he could catch up. But he’s losing almost everywhere at over 50% reporting. It’s over.

Looks like four more years of the same bitching on beyond thanks to Druh and Naheed.
