Working from a tablet, image quality likely suffering as a result, currently day 2 on Maui with silty conditions

Someday we may need to activate the halo structure off Deerfoot and destroy the North East.
Missed focus on this but still really like it...

That's not missed focus, the frame and the bolt being sharp looks pretty natural and DOF adds to the feel of him peaking out.Originally posted by Eride

Meikon, similar design to go-pro, it was $450 Canadian, and has a port that can be changed out for a dome port to fit the sigma 20mm f1.4. They also make housings for the 5d family, Sony bodies, and Nikon dslr's.

Oh that's not too bad at all. And was that with the port? Which lens is in that port?Originally posted by finboy

I have an old custom fabbed housing/dome for my 5D. It'd be nice to get something for my newer cameras.
That is $450cad with the flat port, the new port is $200usd (aluminum) and the dome housing is $400usd (because domes ar expensive I guess?)
Overall I'm quite happy with it, the ikelite without any port is $1600usd.
Meikon claim that the 18-135 is the lens it s designed for, but I fit a sigma 18-35 art by removing the front filter I usually run. Factoring in the 1.6 crop of the sensor, and the crop factor of the water, it isn't as wide as I would like, but it works. Down the line if I decide to get the adapter port, and run a fast wide angle lens, I'm tempted to buy the port when the camera store gets the sigma 14mm to see if that would fit.
I'm excited to see what canon does with the 6d2, and if meikon will make a housing for that as well. Dual pixel autofocus has done surprisingly well, because you will be shooting in live view, a good af system seems to be really important, as well as a good battery life.
