Set the traps a few hours ago, got a fat one. It was hard to get him out of the trap.

Too loud for Aspen
You nearly got him!
What's the diameter, and does that white opening feel pretty spongey? Asking for a friend. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Pretty sure I cleared up my issues, catching new holes/tunnels being dug out the initial piles would be fanned out instead of full volcano mole style. Watched some YouTube vids and decided it was either gophers or ground squirrels.
Still yet to see whatever it was as I never saw anything come out of any tunnels or holes.
Ended up using ol' faithful, strychnine. Went from daily activity of new mounds and holes to zero for a few days now, so I'm assuming my baiting worked.
Fuck these things, made an absolute mess around my property.

I can't be 100% sure because the head is in the trap but based on your 2 pics above those sure appear to be Moles you are dealing with.
Looks like a whistle pig to me.
Yesterday was a gopher, these things have been fucking up my yard, still more to kill
I really like this Gopher Hawk trap, easy to put in the ground and don't have to damage your lawn too badly

So many gophers taking permanent naps in my yard. I hate these things, trap is cash money though.

Three lunches right there.
The voles tried to make a come back into my yard. (My neighbors moved and now have renters in there so they don't take care of shit). So I doubled down on the poisons along the fence. Don't see them anymore. Pretty sure they are really dead.
