That's exactly what I mean that our fairytale was robbed. Just to see him finish would have been enough. But the fact that he was a contender and had more than enough laps left.... Yeah.
Fuck you Honda, indeed.
I don't think I can forgive them.

Poor Alonso. I feel so bad for him. He did so well all race, had the fastest average time of anyone out there, was leading before many flags, ultimately to get pulled by a Honda mechanical reliability issue. What a shame. He wasnt the only one either, a bunch of Honda's were blowing up.
On the plus side I didnt realize Sato was still racing. Great to see an old Japaneses F1 legend winning at 40 years old!
A really good article on Alonso. Doyel was anti-Alonso before this, and he won him over.

I came pretty god damn close to shedding a tear. I admit that I have never been a huge fan of him. But my word, he made a fan of me these last few weeks. Call me a bandwagoner all you want. That dude deserved better and will hopefully get a competitive drive in which ever series it is. He'd have me watching sprint cup now. I'd watch him race segways at this point.
Seriously upset still. Actively livid.

Good race, would have been nice to see Alonso go to the end. Pretty bummed that Alonso's engine let go but at least he got to enjoy a competitive powerplant for once. Unlike F1, at least he got to enjoy some pace with the Honda.

Too bad all the Alonso coverage overshadowed the first Asian winning the Indy 500. I only realized that when I read a story about the Denver Post firing a reporter for a racist tweet lol.Originally posted by Alpine Autowerks
On the plus side for America's greatest race.Sato drank milk and didn't claim lactose intolerance.
