All I can say is that my plate sure is worn down! (but still 'legible' as per the TSA, which does not specify at what distance the plate needs to be visible)

Also, the CPS might be thinking about Edmonton and their retarded 1-5 over the limit, ticket system. Its usually 10-11 over here before they bother you.

Are we sure that shit box element is a photo radar vehicle because it was still there (or back there) again this morning. There is definitely a bunch of shit in the front seat area.
I saw the flash go off 4x as I drove by the other direction, so unless it's some asshole pretending to be photo radar haha.

What's next? CPS starts putting some decals / stickers on the car to make it really look the part?

Ticketing for 1-5kms over is insane lol but times are tough

After second glance this morning it really is a total shit box. Maybe we're being punked by Karen trying to get people to slow down in her neighborhood?

So I’m on my 4th ticket while I’ve reduced my driving by 80%. This is ridiculous. Every one of them was 10-12 over. Even the slow ass Miata got one.

I’m good at spotting the cars but they must be using something completely different now. If anyone spots them we need to post wtf they’re using now.

How many drivers regularly use Waze?

Outside of my normal commute, I try to use it.

I find Waze uses too much battery.
It's helped me out once but I don't drive much and when I do, it's usually the same routes and know the hiding spots.

Definitely more stationary photo radar spots in NW vs other quadrants of the city.

I've just done 9-10 over in the city the whole time. With the ISC and mobile photo units - on a non-major road way (where a parked vehicle is obvious) its not worth it.

I used it on every commute when my vehicle had carplay. Tesla doesn't play nice with Apple, so I haven't been using it much anymore.

They're using cars other than Explorers? They also have to have their hazards on, unless that changed too?

Your proposal intrigues me. Which roads you got dinged in?

In my cases, they were in parking lots adjacent to the road, so no hazards.

I've seen them use other vehicles, not just Explorers. I can't remember off the top of my head, but they were all Fords though.

Is there somewhere that actually says they have to have their hazards on or is this just something people just assume? Cause I've definitely seen photo radar vehicles that don't have their hazards on. In fact, I got nailed on Thanksgiving day two years ago in a residential area on Edmonton Trail. Definitely no hazards. I saw an Explorer on southbound Deerfoot (under Peigan?) tucked behind some construction pylons a few weeks back and no hazards. Hell, the Explorer I posted back in April behind the Crowchild soundwall didn't have hazards either.

I don't think they need to have hazards on where parking is allowed.
The only road where I go faster is Crowchild, everywhere else I rarely do more than 10 over. There was no need to anyways in the past few months.

Most of the photo radar vehicles I see have them on, but I guess they aren't required to do so.

They have the Explorers and F150s, haven't seen a van in a while. Black Explorer, black F150, white F150 and a new blue colored Explorer (not the usual blue); which leaves two in their fleet.

Have also seen one with the hood popped.

Yeah that's kinda what I figured: the hazards aren't on to warn people they're there; they're on when it's needed for safety.
