Took a detour to take a pic this morning of the Crowchild and 3rd Ave. location. Impossible to see from Crowchild going westbound, flash just goes off non stop.

    Attachment 79867
Saw the cops hiding behind the Crowchild soundwall today between (at least) 8:00 and 8:30.

That’s actually a hilarious concept to think about

Clearly we need to flatten the curve of traffic fatalities so our heath system doesn't get overwhelmed.

Yeah I've seen him there in the past but hasn't been there for a long time. I always cruise by and you have to turn and look back to see him.
Glad to know he's back there.

Haven’t seen that spot for quite a while. I drive by there quite a lot so I’m always careful to brake check all the traffic following me so I can avoid a ticket lol.

    "To Serve and Collect"

That photo radar spot is 110%, grade A bullshit. As is the speed limit that drops in that exact spot.

Hey, maybe if we raise and drop the speed limit 7 times in 2 km's we'll confuse people enough that we can just make bank setting up a camera.

Someone needs to call CPA about an SUV parked closer than 5m to a hydrant.

To be fair, the speed limit drops to 60 a block back, and increases to 70 a block ahead. Technically, the speed limit increases to 60 right now because of the construction. It’s right in the middle of 2 speed changes.

    To be fair!!!!

Yea it’s not as bad as memorial drive. It’s all over the map! Just paid my speed on green ticket from Memorial at Edmonton Trail, which is apparently a 50 zone now.

Another wall hangout is eastbound 16th just before 19 st NW. Also Ogden rd south they sit behind the back wall of the old Rona, now "Dick's" store. They use to sit on a few private lots down Ogden road, but a while back there was a some sort of blow up down there where a guy blocked the camera car in and the cps sent units .

    Unrelated~ish.

My friend moved to an office building with their underground parking managed by Indigo. Those dirty cunts "need" you to fill out paperwork with the license plates of all your vehicles that may end up parking there.
Then they make you pay all those ancient parking tickets before you get access.

Do not be fooled by this! Write your plate down incorrectly (off by one digit).

They are always parked in Timber Towns parking lot on 42nd Ave SE after hours snapping photos as well. And I got nailed on 58th Ave SE from a photo van parked in a private parking lots a couple years back.

If they were parking in my private lot I'd ask them to kindly beat it as well. Not surprised someone blocked them in finally haha

I've got two tickets there when it first came up. Did not realize it dropped from 70 to 50, literally just for that intersection, and then back up to 70 until you hit Sunnyside. That camera probably has paid itself off in two weeks

IIRC they dropped the speed because of a large increase in accidents there. What’s funny was the accident increase there was because of Langevin bridge construction, lots of slow speed fender benders because 2 lanes plus merge from memorial into 1 lane at the bridge haha. Easy cash cow.

That whole stretch from Deerfoot until North Hill mall is a nightmare. The parking lot of the NAPA often has one early in the morning on weekends.
I got dinged by one right beside it last month.

Completely hidden. 60 in a 50 zone. 10 over, must be hurting for cash during a pandemic. It's like we're in Edmonton now with the hidden cameras and low tolerance.
