I'm really tempted to make the jump, if the features from the a9 start creeping into the apsc lineup, it will be hard to hold off any more. Great shots!

Do you find you get lots of opportunities to use your drone? I really want one but it seems you can't use them hardly anywhere, especially without annoying everyone. I mostly want it for real estate photography but you aren't allowed to fly them anywhere in the city AFAIK.
Some D-bag was flying a super loud one in Prince's Island on the weekend scaring/buzzing all the animals. There's no way anyone would ever respond in time to fine him, but I'd hate to be "that guy".
Also looked at drones. There seems to be so many restrictions on them now... all of which seem to be easy to "get away" with but don't really want to be "that guy" either.

Honestly, I was thinking about selling my drone because of the drone laws in Canada. I've flown it around in my backyard when I first got it just to test it out but that was for 5 minutes.Originally posted by Mitsu3000gt

I decided to keep it because I thought to myself that drone laws in Canada suck but they're not that bad in other countries. So I probably only fly it when I travel, which sucks.
DJI just released a new drone called the spark, it's 300 grams. I guess you could risk flying it because the laws in Canada only apply to drones 250 grams and above. It would probably be easier to try and claim it's under 250 grams than something like the mavic pro or phantom
Got out to photograph the aurora tonight. Was my first time ever trying. My biggest problem was focusing, do you guys have any tips on how to focus shots in the dark?

Just some quick snaps the weekend.
First from my hike around Upper Kananaskis Lake.
Second one from Marl Lake near the campground at dusk.

Thanks Kijho. I just fuck around with the edit functions on my S7 and it seems to come out nice. It was a beauty night. I have a couple more that I will look at if my kids ever go to bed.
