Yup. BC just happened to the best deal for me as well and that is after having a strong relationship with Bavaria having bought 3 last M vehicles from them. Plus we were contemplating a road trip anyway so got to take the M3 about 1500 km's without worrying about putting mileage or reducing value. Haha. I'll probably be making a yearly trip from now I think if that BC guy sticks around and keeps doing what he says he should have no problems with. . The way I have been in the past I think it's the best way to go with a new vehicle every year..even if it's the exact same make as model as what I have but just brand new.

Nice pickup! X5's are nice cars, I have just never been able to stomach the price.

Yeah, great car. I really wanted to get one, cause they can be had for very cheap if you go a few years old... but I also am too much of a baby to stomach the risk of an air suspension repair

    Congrats!

I've had an F15 X5 for almost 4 years and had zero issues with anything. I also had the rear air suspension as well, super quiet cabin and a lot of fun long-driving.

My first mod was the MPPK, literally felt like 1,000lbs lighter with the tune. Plus it does not hurt the factory warranty.

There's also certain blind spots on the rear PDC but pretty reliable. With the 8.1" ride height, it is curb-friendly in most cases.

Switching to Sport Mode and clicking the Mouse Pad automatically shows the "performance gauges (hp/tq)". With MPPK, it shows as 400hp/400tq instead of the stock 320/320.

Rocker panels and 1/2 of the rear door tend to get rock chips over time. Make sure you DIY it with a protection film of some sort.

If you are thinking of MPE, it deletes the actuator so it's constant noise, but you will barely notice in-cabin as X5 insulation is superb.

When you unlock your X5, you will hear a hissing sound, not to worry as this is the rear air suspension.

Cold start is loud AF being wastegate and muffler actuator fully open. I've startled many people with it.

...Lastly, if planning to upgrade to X5M, it will literally cost you two base price X5's of $130K lol

Can confirm about the cold start. My neighbours have one, it sounded quite nice the first time I heard it.

X5's are great (2014 and up). The 35i is quite a reliable vehicle and bulletproof. With the N55 engine, most ppl get MPPK and MPE and top it off with another tune like RaceChip Ultimate.

Stay away from the problematic 50i V8tt and the dreaded diesel contamination you can acquire with the 35d.

Oh yes, exhaust burble and during engine overrun conditions (shift farts) only with MPPK. Stock does not have this feature even in Sport Mode.

Good to know. May be things have improved it in the new F series.
I owned a 2012 X5 35i with M sports performance PKG , Exec and Premium PKG. I absolutely hated it. I found X5 build quality is not up with the German build quality. I ended up trading it in after 8 months.

Hahah you and me both brother. I've stopped kidding myself that's why the deal I made this time will entail me switching the car every year if I wanted to without incurring any penalties etc. It could be the same car, just newer or anything else BMW for that matter.

I will post some pics when I get a chance but this one is old man grey so nothing special! I just love the M performance exhaust and tune that pushes HP to 367 or something which is not too shabby compared to my M3. To be honest I am enjoying this way more than I enjoyed my M3 so far because of how much more comfortable on shitty roads this one is compared to the stiff ass M3. And the exhaust, gurgles and noises makes it so much better.
