Is this television any good? LG 6350

The last television I bought was a 19 inch CRT 16 years ago and I thought that thing was huge. I've been using my girlfriend's 49 inch Samsung for the last 5 years and that one seems fine but it appears it's time to upgrade.

I don't have cable, everything I watch is on Kodi and I'm not that concerned with the difference between A- or A+ picture quality, the content is more important to me. I never watch sports except for the occasional soccer match and most of the television use is for vintage video games, though those are slowly being moved to a projector setup downstairs.

I was out today and saw a 65 inch LG 6350 television (discontinued) which is 1080P for $1000 and am going to buy it unless someone points out some major issue with it.

Like I said, I don't have Netflix, I don't have cable and every show we watch is through Exodus in Kodi. Whether we watch the 1080p stream or the lower quality stream, I don't normally notice a difference. I do have a Nintendo Switch but I think that's just 720p.

I was waiting for that. I haven't bought anything yet but tomorrow could be the day if nobody points out a major flaw, the bad black levels are quite a worry. The sound doesn't matter much, I have a Sony speaker system with a subwoofer. It's 11 years old and one of the speaker outputs is dead but otherwise it works well.

I ended up getting the LG 6150 instead. It's a 65 inch screen with a 4K panel but it's only 60 hertz. Would this have any performance above a 1080p television at 120 hertz? I'm wondering if the 60 hertz is going to be as bad as I think it will.

It seems like the TV handles 60 hertz pretty well and most people won't notice the jutters.

They are 200-300 more, but you might want to look at the Vizio M-65 and P-65. Vizio cuts corners in some places like no TV tuner, but the displays are top quality. The P-65 is $600 off right now.

BTW, I've seen your car and you must've had those front seats all the way forward for that TV to fit in there.

If the airbags had deployed, we would have died for sure. I found a wall mount at the thrift store for $5 so we got it hung today, looks pretty good. It also has an NTSC (analogue) tuner in it as well, I wonder why. Do any countries still use this?
