I will admit i dont know much about watches. Can anyone recommend a decent watch on the cheaper end? $200 or so.

I have about 10, ranging from cheap to middle-of-the-road.
I find I like my Citizens more than my higher end ones, decent looking, very reliable.
If you get a eco-drive with radio control, it's zero maintenance, unless you travel to other time zones.

Depends on the style. You can get eco drives new on amazon for as low as 200 cdn.

A style/look, or watch you like, but cant afford, would probably lead to more direct suggestions.

I agree with Citizen. You pay a bit of a premium but they last and are reliable.

Has been on sale for $280 in the past. Perpetual calendar, Radio Sync, solar power, sapphire glass. IMO well worth the money based on features.

This is buy it and forget about it type of watch. The battery never dies and it automatically resets the time / date. Even smart watches you have to charge.

Depending on your needs/wants they can get as low as $200-300
I paid less than $500 for my Blue Angels Skyhawk. Not much less mind you

Seiko SKX 007 automatic if you like dive watches.

You can snag a brand new one from the discount sellers for around $200.

Thanks for all the replies. A citizen or seiko would be great. Maybe something like this but with numbers or notches on the face?

Hamilton Khaki Field - Robust ETA movement, sapphire glass.

Seiko 5 - The quintessential "entry level" watch

Timex - Talk shit all you want about Timex. I love Timex. I have four.

Casio G-Shock - Talk shit all you want about Casio, I love Casio. I have two.

Citizen - You can find the "Drive" series for well under $200 (https://www.amazon.ca/s/ref=nb_sb_no...=citizen+drive)

i tried to get by with a timex as i needed something that i could see in the dark, i wanted analog at the time, the ticking drove me nuts.

i have a couple tissots that i can't hear but they don't light up. ended up buying a apple watch and i'm super happy with it. ya it's not really appealing in looks and i don't like looking like a fan boy, but the watch does everything so well.

I love the Panerai Luminor but am not at the point I can justify the cost and I do not want to rock a fake so when I saw this Seiko today I really liked the style and it gives a similar vibe in something I would not be ashamed to wear, so I ordered one up!
