I didn't vote because the poll is wierd but I think it looks great....until you notice that limp dick sitting there. god. awful. almost as bad as the Honda's that intentionally put limp dicks on.....
fix it with truck nuts.
Hidden exhaust is fine, fake outlets are not.
It would look better without the fake exhaust at all, just bumper. Horrible implementation IMO, it's so obvious the exhaust is fake, that's what makes it so bad. At the very least they have connected the tips to make it somewhat passable as a trim piece rather than just exhaust. This is nothing new though, so many cars have enlarged or fake exhaust tips. I wouldn't expect it on a SQ5 though.

Do they do it so that the car stays "cleaner" overall?
Maybe Audi owners don't like to deal with carbon build up
This has been going on for awhile and by a lot of companies. The audis isnt that bad compared to some and the way they brought the trim piece all the way across makes it look more like an accent to the rear bumper instead of just fake exhaust outlets. I know its the norm to have an outlet at the bumper but this aint that bad looking imo

Fake exhaust tips are so lame.
They are a styling anachronism like that godawful portholes that buick was putting on cars for years.
The car would look cleaner overall without these stupid things. If the car has an exhaust pipe, hide it, and if not (like pure EV) then no issues.
EDIT: Also, this poll is stupid.

Personally, i think there are few things that look worse than spotting this dinky little exhaust pipe hidden behind some fake polished exit. Looks so cheap, especially on high end vehicles.
Fake exhaust tips, fake exhaust noise, what does it matter as most won't care or even notice.
Will fuck off, again.

Also that's a 2018 SQ5. I have a 2017 and the exhaust definitely aren't fake
CHEVROLET= Cheap, Hardly Efficient, Virtually Runs On Luck Every Time.
I think it looks stupid. At least with the ISF it's kind of functional.
Limp dick, not thanks. The 2010-2016 RX350 has the same limp dick, but at least they really hid it and didn't even bother with the fake exhaust. There are no exhaust tips on the rear bumper and that's how I think it should be.

Why? You got two hands no?Originally posted by Sugarphreak
I am actually OK with fake tips for this reason
Both of my cars have black baked tips right now that I can't clean
My C has fake exhaust, i kindof agree that it beats having char coated pipes.
The black chrome on my BMW was starting to corrode and the black was coming off after only a few years. I stopped cleaning them because the char looked better than half silver pipes.
I would prefer the exhaust gases actually coming out of the decorative pipes though, it must look really stupid when its cold out for the exhaust to billow out from under the car and not out of the fake exhaust...

I used to love the look of nice polished exhaust tips but with direct injection engines you can polish them and you are lucky if they aren't completely black a week later. I polished the tip of my Golf R less than a month ago and today they look like they haven't been cleaned for a year. For the average person the fake tips may not be a bad thing.
