    Default Player Unknown's Battlegrounds

For PC. Early access game. Anyone playing??

It's a Battle Royale type game. About 100 players parachute onto an island, find weapons, and kill each other until there is one player left.

The island is huge but the play area shrinks in size until it's just tiny.

Very strategic gameplay. I made it to be the second last man in one game. That's my best.

I think it was $30 on Steam.

I play it once and a while. Optimization is garbage, but a really fun game. I like to hide out and then always make it to the final area and get killed immediately.
    Team mode is fun too.

I've been wanting to play but would rather play with at least 1 other person. It's definitely seems better with a mate or two.

I've been playing this. Surprisingly intense when you're one of 2 or 3 people left haha. Usually those scenarios end anticlimactically with me dead though because I'm bad

Only complaint is the super unrealistic damage, but most FPS games are like that now. Also there are cheaters/hackers that ruin it for everyone but not in every game.

V1.0 releases for PC today, better optimization, new map, and vaulting over low objects.

I love this game. Probably the best multiplayer game I've played since Halo 1 or 2. I played a LOT of COD Black Ops, but multiplayer never quite matched my.experiences using XBox Connect to play Halo 1 online.

This game feels like a slower paced bloodgulch 4v4 on steroids. I love it. I have 3 other buddies that are super into it and we are enjoying it, I think this will be a mainstay for easily a year if not longer.

Best moment yet was buddy and I strafing up a stairwell both AR's on full auto unloading on a guy running up the lower staircase as we busted out onto the roof. The sound of those AR's and the intensity was amazing.

Not a huge fan of this game (mind you I have it for XBOX 1)

It feels disgustingly unpolished. One map? I couldn't believe it - felt like I was doing the same thing over and over. Played it for a couple of hours and haven't touched it since.

I can see the appeal if you had in on PC and it wasn't such a slugfest (30fps) or if you were playing with 4 friends with a Mic but playing solo is boring af.

Loving the game on XBOX One, nice change from COD all the time. Finally won my first match the other day as well.

Looking forward to seeing an official release with the map and graphics cleaned up, right now it looks a little like 1990's Doom.

I play on PC, no idea how well this would work on Xbone. I've seen the janky graphics even on the X, surprised Microsoft would allow such a game to hit market.

    Edit-
And I definitely wouldn't play this without friends who I could discord with. Solo is fun, but not sustainable for long, that would get boring.

PCMR dudes!! I've got almost 300 hours in on PC past few months So much fun, stoked for the official release happening this evening but also gonna be weird getting used to the feeling. Gonna be like re-learning the game again which is the only downside because the game is SO strong on feel/ sounds/ etc. etc.

nvidia is really pushing their 1060 as a good card for pubg at 1080p @ 60 fps on the high setting. its also not bad priced.

Been playing on Xbox one and I have been having a blast. Love that there is no double jumping quick scoping bullshit. I can handle the elastic banding and the bit of lag at the beginning.

Have gotten a chicken dinner in squads and duo once each now. Best I have done solo is 4th.

I'm really happy with mine. If you care about being competitive, you'll be running low settings on everything anyways so the 1060 is more than adequate. I got a chicken dinner playing on my laptop with a 860m haha.

Nice. My group has had a couple chicken dinners on PC, but it can be tough.

Have been playing on PC and on Xbox. Haven't been able to get higher than #2 on solo or duo though. Squad we usually all run apart and then get killed by people paying attention.

Only 1 chicken dinner here on duo, multiple top 5 finishes on solo.

Unless taking things seriously and playing as a tight nit group, squads is pretty pointless. We screwed around for the first while, but the whole team has agreed to be a bit more coordinated.

Number one thing we've learned is stick together, unless a plan is in place for somebody to do something (this guy is getting a vehicle, or taking up a forward scouting position, or flanking the enemy on their side). Dropping in together is huge. Rather than do individual looting, we also usually have the group split into two people who do houses side by side for backup and then split loot according to who wants what, but more importantly who is better with what.

Our only benefit is each taking a building at the start and calling out items for the others like backpacks and initial guns/ammo. Usually dick around for too long and have to run to the zone with like 100 m between each of us because no one was paying attention.
