This is a thing outside of houses that back onto parks or golf courses in newer subdivisions?

Wood or Composite for privacy all the way. Although, If I ever had enough scratch for a house with walkout onto a park, I’d consider being stuck with chain link though, lol.

If you don't mind once a year maintenance, grow a hedge into the chain link.
