Default Single o/h door width 8' vs 9'

Anyone have a standard 8' wide single o/h door. Does is feel narrow?

9' wide o/h door is going to cause some cascading costs that I'd rather avoid.

    Depends on the access.

    Straight in - no problem.

If you're in a tighter alley - driving a pickup, its about a 8pt turn.

I'd go wider, well depending on front vs rear garage

Simple things like pulling out the lawnmower becomes a pain in the ass when there is a car in there

I've got 8' doors, my truck is definitely a pain to park. My wife does a 3 point turn regardless of what she's driving.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

Always go as big as you can afford.

I agree, go with a 9' if you can. I have a single 8' it's tight to fit my X1 in there. if your wife sucks at driving, she won't like pulling in and out of it.

I have three 8' doors on my garage. It's doable but tight. When I had the F150 I wasn't getting in unless I folded the mirrors in and even then there was only about 6" on either side. With the Focus it's not as much of an issue.
