Use to run 225/255 on 9.5/10.5 and I'd say that's a mild stretch... basically what I needed to have flush wheels, they were fully seated and I drove the piss out of that setup on the mustang and didn't have a single issue... with that solid axle I had perfectly even tire wear too

Coming from a drifting background it's amazing the things you see... I'd say "stretched" goes wrong when you have too much sidewall, biggest failure I saw was probably something like a 165 on a 9j steel diamond racing wheel, was probably a 14" rim... and the tire came right off and rolled across the track

Only time I have had any issues with a mildly stretched low profile tire is when I waited too long to flip them (because camber) and the tire was too soft and it wouldn't stay seated

I had 165/45R15 stretched across 8.5's and never had issues, BUT, running in the winter too stretched exposes the rim lip edges and they take a shit kicking from the gravel. I also often see leak issues crop up when snow and ice gets packed into the bead on occasion. I am not talking about mild stretch through. Another area one needs to be a bit more careful running stretch in the winter is the more exposed sidewalls can get damaged easier from potholes and rough road surface hits etc. In summer it is easier to dodge potholes than it is in winter when they might be buried under snow.

This year’s weather has me so tempted to pull the C63 back out.

Would be a no brainer if it wasn’t for the ridiculous ice ruts in my alley. If I had a front driveway I could control the state of it would be easy...

    Look great!

We have run Replika Fuchs for many laps on our team enduro 944. Heavy as balls, slow as balls, they take a beating, and look great.
