WTBborrow: 3" hydraulic pipe bender.

Want to build some custom bed bars for my truck, and looking to borrow/rent one for a week, if anybody has one collecting dust in their shop.

Princess auto has a 16 tonne one on sale for $160, but I'm not sure if that's strong enough for 3"x0.065 Stainless 304.

I've got the 16 ton (that's collecting dust)... just remember that pipe sizes are different than tube sizes

0.065" wall will wrinkle pretty bad using one of those benders if you try to bend more than about 30 degrees too

Good to know, thanks. Now I'm thinking 2.5" 316 stainless pipe instead... Wall width of 0.203", so 3 times that of the tube, and 2-7/8" total diameter. Closer to the 3" I thought I would be getting with tubing until Abeo reminded me of the difference.
