Lease at $472/month at 0% for 48 months.
Going slow fast.
Not much is going to beat GTi for under $400/month.

It's not as good or fun as MX5 because turbo lag of the 1.4L Multiair and last gen shifter. But I think it looks better than MX5 and it's only a ECU tune away from close to 200HP. And MX5 with similar spec will be at least $200/mth more.

I thought the new LT1 would be awesome... but then I beat a new corvette in my lightly modded 5.0 mustang with a passenger and loads of shit in the back. Maybe mods open them up or somethingOriginally posted by Sugarphreak
Apparently the new LT1 is something else
I saw a review where they mentioned that the Bugatti Veyron famously went overkill with 10 inter-coolers... and the new LT1 has 11.
Oh, and Max will like this... it comes with a short shifting 6 speed manual if you so desire.
Too bad it is a GM... and therefore no doubt riddled with problems
Sounds awesome!Originally posted by Xtrema

Yes, but not as much as a WRx or AMgOriginally posted by Aleks
Does a GTI cost more than a GTi?
You need a doctor's note for one of them.Originally posted by gpomp

I didn't take this thread in the context of buying the minivan of hatchbacks, good at all things great at none. Frig you guys are all old.Originally posted by heavyD
He's right though. If everyone could only drive one car that is so well rounded it could make nearly everyone happy it would be the GTI. It's the Swiss army knife if automobiles.
I didn't realize people still read motortrend... what those poofters think of cars is (and has been for a long time) irrelevant to meOriginally posted by Sugarphreak
Um yeah... so but does Motortrend

I have nothing against the FiST, was going to buy one myself a couple of years ago. Then I realized that spending $25+k on a fwd econobox makes no sense unless you are the kind of human that is ok with having a shriveled soul
Elantra Sport with a 6 speed manual?
I guess it depends what you are using this car for.
Till you remember you have to take it to Chrysler for warranty workOriginally posted by flipstah

That's the only problem I see as well. And the only Fiat outfit is Eastside Dodge in Marlborough.Originally posted by ercchry

If Big 4 has a Fiat franchise, I would definitely pick one of these up.

It's great to have Phreak make fun of someone else's car for a change

Sugarphreak is just bitter because the last new car he drove was a Model T.
This. Took the Vagon out for a rip with my buddies TTRS last night. They go very good!Originally posted by npham
Just get the TT RS you have looking at/talking about.
I like neat cars.
Hey sport you are out of your element in this thread commenting on anything seeing you drive a 20 year old beater that would get smoked on a track by a new Civic sport hatch. If old means I can actually buy nice cars rather than drive junk than yes I am old.Originally posted by HiTempguy1

Inorite? 300hp, great handling, no nannies/safety gear, great sound, perfect for year round daily driving. And about 75% cheaper than a FiST. Man, you are doing a good job of making your car look like its for womenOriginally posted by Sugarphreak
Soul shriveling? As opposed to driving a 1995 WRX STi?
I haven't had that STi for years though. Now I just daily big dumb 'merican pickups Soul shriveled indeed
I believe adding X-drive to these cars somewhat neuters the handling ability as it doesn't allow for the sport suspension you can get on RWD version.Originally posted by Sugarphreak
I was doing some reading up on the new M240i
Apparently it is nearly as good as the M2, and while the M2 is fractionally faster in a 0-60 sprint, the M240i will actually catch up and pass it shortly after.
Plus you know... 20K cheaper
There is an X-drive model as well with an even quicker 0-60 too, but only in auto.
Only thing is, then you'd have to live in fake-M hell with the rest of the wannabes
