When viewing "What's New", it doesn't show the replies/views column. Not sure if that was intentional but most other forums I frequent has that displayed on the new post search display.

^I thought the forums started around 2001-2002 area, that's when I first joined and had a couple of my accounts banned for being 14 and stupid. lol


As for the upgrade, enjoying it so far but couple of things I noticed;

When you do @ and start typing a username it doesn't autofill the option of various users matching the name you are trying to type. Was this not implemented?

Second, I wish from the main screen you could directly click the page numbers of the thread you wanted to open. Example, some threads that you have already read all of, all you want to do is go directly to the last page. The way it's set up now is that first I have to open the thread on the first page and then click the last one from in there.

Just some minor things I noticed so far, otherwise like it. Is there an option to change the forum colour/theme settings anywhere with this setup?

When in a thread, there is a section at the bottom that contains 'similar threads' but that seems kind of pointless when it contains threads that are over 10 years old. Possibly there should be some sort of time limit when presenting a list of similar threads.

resolution of my monitor is about around 2000x1100. This is like a Large Print book for half blind people... as a forum lol.

Used a co-worker's larger monitor and see what you're talking about. It's not a resolution issue, it's a screen size issue. Adjust fonts any smaller, it looks better on large monitors, but unreadable on a Surface Pro 4.

Dunno what I can do here, have to cater to the Lowest Common Denominator. Unfortunately, we only have resolution information and not screen size information so we can't adjust for that in code.

edit - temporary workaround, I'm using ctrl-mousewheel to zoom down 3 levels, and that seems to be optimal.

Never seen that before. Seeing as we developed this to make sure it works on my iPhone and iPad, it's probably the most trouble free way to view the site lol. Is that still a problem for you? Safari or Chrome?

Mention and autopopulate @ will be looked at as an addon down the road. As for the page numbers, this was removed due to clutter on mobile. We'll revisit this to see if there's a better way to implement it while still being usable.

Scroll to bottom of the page. The PM limit has been increased as well. Not sure if that's a good idea, of the 12 hour upgrade work, 8 of it was dealing with PM's.

Click 'What's New' below the beyond.ca logo.

The "What's New" tab beside forums will load up New Posts.

From there you can refine the new posts to show everything from past 24 hours, view activity feed or check your group messages.

The replies/views column is hidden on lower resolution screens (currently set to 1200 horizontal pixels). We can play around with this threshold.

Would be cool if we could mark forums read from the "what's new" screen. Currently I have to click back to forums main page to do this.
