Why make the quick reply box permanent? When I click on "reply to thread" the quick reply box pops open no problem, and doesn't take up any real estate in the event that I don't want to reply to anything.

The real estate isn't as big of an issue since it's at the bottom of the page. The issue really is the workflow. With the quick reply box auto populated, it breaks multi-quote selection. I might move that to-do to workaround.

Yeah, it bothered me that the Quick Reply box wasn't there at first, but in VB2 you had to click in the box to start typing. In VB4, you click on "Reply to Thread" and the textbox is automatically focused so it makes no difference. It'll just be one of those things that will take getting used to.

I love that the system clock is finally correct when you're browsing while logged out haha

Can you put the links back to the main forum and the sections at the bottom of the thread again?

It was awesome not having to scroll all the way back up to get back to main or society or whatever

Also the smiley selector tool looks pretty dumpy.

Reset your email. Our system automatically kills your email address from the database if it bounces continuously. Was it a shaw email? They're still bouncing us randomly.

Also is it possible to be able to sticky group threads?

Kinda like the group idea for mega thread replacement, keeps things more organized when trying to plan stuff

Group icons are enabled. I can edit it and upload as admin. Not sure where that setting is as group owner.

I'll have to look at the rest tomorrow.

Yeah I've clicked on everything and can't find it. My theory was that you need pictures uploaded to the group first then you can select one to set as icon?

Under admin there is just edit group, which doesn't have the option, then the rest of the options in there are managing members

I have edit group icon under admin -> edit group. In the options it says group creator has the ability to upload icon.

Also I just figured out the one thing that just felt off about the new posts view... no stats on thread posts and views. I used this a lot to know if I was missing out on the entertainment of the day

I'm not sure if its user error or a forum bug, but threads that I have authored do not show up in the "whats new" search, I have to go and find them in their originally posted location,

Update great, still sort of trying to find me bearings...BUT....best part I like so far; is the emails that tell you that so and so has replied in the thread which also includes a preview of the reply....I love that!!...

edit - it's there, for desktop and tablets. On a smartphone, it shrinks those columns for legibility.

Neither. It's just slightly different behavior than before that we have to get used to.

What's new/New Posts only shows unread threads in the last 30 days (with a separator to show posts since your last visit). Once you've created a thread, it's "read" so it doesn't show up in the whats new/new posts listings. When someone replies to it, you'll have an unread post in there, at that time it'll show up in What's New/New Posts.

Under the New Posts sub menu, I've added Today's posts, which was the old Show posts in last 24 hours option. Both read (bold) and unread (unbolded) threads will show up there.

Am I missing something?? Before 1 thru 6 (or there abouts)..... and the last 5 or 6 pages were listed under the thread title along with a "last page" link.

Below each thread there was a section that had 1 2 3 4 5.... 64 for the page. Its gone.
