The tanwall with white frame looks sweet. I like the riddlers - I have a set on my SS CX/Gravel rig. Bit slow on the pavement, but a good tire otherwise. I assume you're going to swap on some mountain pedals?

How are those MEC frames? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Dunno… only have used it on the trainer. Probably 100x better than your vintage frames though hahaThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Respect your elders
Anyone want to spend an hour or two doing some repair on my kids bmx? I'm slammed with about 93 personal and work things, and just don't have time to figure out what I eve need to do this. It's an 18" BMX bike and the coaster brake and bearings in the "middle bit" where the cranks attach has come apart. I don't think we lost anything, but it needs taking apart and reassembling.
I can pay, or trade alcohol, or whatever.

Yeah, tossed some flats on… along with a 11-40t cassette… much better! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Took it for a shakedown. Geometry is pretty good, pretty confident on a deputy to sheriff lap in fish creek
Good ol MEC… 3 days old, BB is loose or missing a spacer…
So MEC cleans out the BB, BB is smooth… but still some vibration when putting power in. They’re saying that there is a slight ‘knock’ or vibration in the drivechain, due to being a KMC chain , on a shimano cassete with a Cannondale crank and are telling me that this is completely normal and should ‘mesh’ as the chain wears? I’m pretty skeptical, it’s a brand new bike and didn’t vibrate at 0 km, why would it show at 100?
I’m such a confused rider… 5 tens, visor on my helmet… Le Col cap under it… road jersey…
This thing is getting close though. Still waiting on Bike Inn’s uber slow shipping for the 16 degree flared gravel bars and fresh bar wrap… but got a road link w/42T cassette, and a much shorter stem… damn does it handle everything well. 12 degree grade janky gravel climb, no problem… put down a PR haha… then I even hit a little descent (lower 37th in fish creek) and it was damn confident
That's the nice thing about gravel/cyclocross bikes. Almost no-one takes it too seriously.
Tires fiiiinally showed up… 27.5 x 2.3 DHF’s w/tannus armour insert in the rear. So exited to finally be tubeless… also grabbed some fresh DTH’s for the DJ… weird that “tanwall” can vary so much in colour from that same manufacturer
Oh, and an 11-46t cassette, should work a bit better than the 40t one, chain ring is a 28t…
