All that YOU can do is keep your child away from your SIL's home if you feel the cat is a safety hazard.

The issue of whether or not the cat stays in the home is between your in-laws and their daughter. If they considered it to be as big of an issue that you do, it would be gone. At the end of the day, you can't dictate what people do in their own homes.

As far as you offering to give the cat away, you can't. Pets are considered to be property and the cat isn't yours.

Moving is extremely stressful on pets - did anyone ever take the cat to a vet to check for an infection? The cat may be pissing due to a UTI, crystal build up, etc. The house also may have had cats in it before, hence the marking - you can get pheromone diffusers and collars that help with this.

    Hey guys,

    thanks!!
I have a sister in law who, even though they are millionaries, live in squalor with cat/dog/chicken shit and other filth and clutter everywhere, their kids are sick all the time because they refuse to wash their hands, etc. Any hired help they get seem to always never come back for some reason.

Wife and I just stopped going there with our kid.

For myself, I can just wear indoor shoes, sleep in a room with open windows and mentally disable observing the decrepit zone filth, but she and the little one cant.

The house was built new when the cat was moved to it, so no other animals where in the house, also i don't know anything about the cat, whether its been taken to a vet or what not, the sister in law talked about the diffusers and collars, but it has yet to happen and when mentioned to her then she goes off the rails

Dude I'm in the damn middle of this shit, my wife cant get threw the sister nor can the mother nor can the dad, every time they come to talk about the cat and to have it removed from the house the sister in law loses her shit, yet she doesn't take care of the cat like she says she does, I'm kind of the last resort to get threw to the sister and knock some sense in to her

Also guys some might take this the wrong way or understand where I'm coming from, I'm brown and not white, my family and my wifes family want to take care of our kid, they have ZERO issues doing that, in fact if they don't see him for a day or 2 then the phone doesn't stop ringing, I'm the first inlaw in the family and my parents in laws only have 2 girls my wife and her sister, also I'm the first in my family to have a baby boy and the first baby boy her my parents in laws family.

So having my kid spend time with strangers at a day care is out of the question I'm the problem solver kind of and this cat is a problem and it has finally fell in to my lap to figure it out with out any one losing there shit thanks for the replies....

Honestly thought you had a plugged converter on your car.

    This turned out much better.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Yeah, but free childcare, right? I mean it's totally worth it, even if the cat decides his daughters face is a good scrstching post and deforms her for life. I mean FREE childcare!
