Calgary Flames MEGA THREAD 2017-2018 Edition

I really cant fathom what is going on with the Flames. They are always good on paper but does not translate well on the ice. The most struggling part is, they struggle against the lowest tier teams. wasnt it NY that was on some 10 game losing streak and Flames find a way to lose. If there is any kind of consistency for them, its continually losing to teams they should beat. where have I seen this before? They play to the level of their opponent, quite sad really.

also does not our current ranking hold weight to one of our first round picks that was traded away? if that is so I just want us to lose every game from here and drop to the bottom 3 and win the lottery draft. the entire organization needs a big jolt to their system. may not be a bad thing.

Flames fans vastly over-rate the quality of the players on the team.

Well last night was the final nail in the coffin. I'm interested to see what happens in the off season. They are going to have to make some big moves, I hope its a new look team come next year

Lots of criticism to go around, starting from the top down, for this embarrassing display of a season. Only ones I feel who should be safe from general criticism is Gaudreau and Tkachuk. They had their highs and lows, but their highs far outweigh their lows.

Nothing to look forward to aside from hopefully a change in culture, starting from the top down.

the lack of effort in the final games is really sad. I guess the team is also crying out for a big change. Considered how they were 10+ games above .500 for so a while and just dropped off the cliff probably sucks more.
