Dafuq is this? It’s the flames fault he’s not being productive?

Not sure what you mean?

I don't think anyone is playing the blame game. They are simply letting him seek work elsewhere in the NHL or in Europe while under contract in Calgary. A respect thing that doesn't affect Calgary in the long the run. He's been hurt pretty much all year and hasn't been able to find any traction here so a mutual parting of Jagr and the Flames is for the best for both parties. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. It's a business and I'm sure both sides have had extensive talks. It was fun while it lasted tho
Flames on a goddamn tear lately! Maybe the stick chucking was exactly what they needed!
...
Sure has been a lot more fun to watch than the December games haha. I mean, still have work to do if we want to be competitive in the post season, but we got time to get that sorted.

The tear started before the stick chucking but a little extra motivation couldn't hurt. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Will fuck off, again.
There was no hung over or partying, GG lost his cool because Gio and Backlund were talking and laughing on the bench with Bennett and GG wanted to start practise. He was pissed because he called for special teams and they didn't;t get on the ice because they were too busy talking - Source - I saw it.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. 100 correct. He has a groan issue and Calgary doesn't think a 80% Jagr is effective in the lineup. He disagrees. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
They had a 1 game win streak when he tossed the stick. GG referenced that when he was yelling at the team. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Your tears fuel me
And that's 7 games. Man this bye week has come at a very inconvenient time. And we're playing the Jets when we get back, who are playing very well this season.
Anyone else in shock just now? Is this rock bottom? The turning point?
Those last 2 minutes.
Fuck this team? they make it real hard to be a fan sometimes

Flames fans so bitter tonight. Had my Vegas jersey on for the game, everyone was giving me shit haha.

I've made peace with this flames team.
They are just ok. They're not an elite team and they're not gonna win every night it against top teams. And they are mentally weak haha.
Understand this and it becomes a lot easier to handle games like tonight lol.
On the other hand, this Vegas situation is simply embarrassing for the NHL
I fail to see how it's embarrassing for the league. Because a new expansion team didn't get stuck being cellar dwellers for years and had to build their way up?This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'd say it's a successful for them in that it shows there's enough talent in the league that an expansion team can be competitive right off the bat if managed correctly, they have a solid fanbase in Vegas, and they have what it takes to be profitable. Teams that are put in shitty markets and continually lose money and have no fan support year after year is what's embarrassing for the league (ie: Arizona, Florida, Carolina). Not to mention Edmonton being a consistent shit team, collecting high draft picks and getting no further ahead.
One of the foundations of pro sports, that makes it intersting for the fan, is the tough slog of building a team, developing players, working hard, being strategic. It's hard to win in a pro sports league, right? errrr...maybe not. The Vegas thing trivializes the machinations of the rest of the parts of the league that people pay attention to...the prospects, the entry draft, all of it.
If you can futz around with some castoffs, and turn into one of the best teams in the league, it diminishes the whole league.
I think he meant it's embarrassing for the other teams in the league who spend years scouting and drafting players, building up lines, making strategic trades only to be outdone by a team that was mashed together while the NHL as a business, this is great exposure for them since they say look at what you can do and here's proof with Vegas

I don't think they're castoffs. Marchessault, Neal, Fleury, Smith, Karlsson. I think it's just other GM's working with the cap system, and the Vegas management did their homework. I think it would have been awful for the league if they sucked for years, fan base dwindles, and they turn in to another Carolina or Arizona. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
