I feel like Lazar is built for the playoffs...if we make it that is. We'll get Versteeg back and Bennett also is a proven playoff performer. Here's to hoping...

There’s been so many of those offside reviews that are offside by a frame this season. Ya, something has to be done.

In the end, it didn’t matter anyways. Vegas played a typical Vegas game. Outskated and out battled the flames from beginning to end.

Trade Deadline is this Monday. Buy, Sell or Status Quo?

The rental cost for a scoring winger that Calgary desperately needs will cost a fortune they can't afford. I don't think there's even a scoring winger available who can magically learn "the system" that will pay immediate dividends, so I'm leaning towards status quo. Treliving can try and address the inconsistent issues in the offseason, like re-evaluating the coaching staff they have.

I don't think a strong case can be made for going out and acquiring assets for this year. Can we trade away a few peices for draft pics and prospects to help up two years down the road? Is that crazy?

And serious question from someone who knows more than me. If we've got effort and motivation issues, isn't that a leadership issue? If so, shouldn't we be looking at getting rid of our ineffective leaders? Trade Gio for prospects.

Some of the guys are saying there are more sellers than buyers this year. We will see. The Flames are more than 1-2 pieces away in my opinion. A few players are under performing or not utilized properly. Maybe they should look at the coach staff first.

Well, just like upgrading players, if you think the coaches are the problem, who are you going to upgrade to?

There not a chance in hell the Flames are sellers this deadline. No way management or ownership allows that to happen when they're so close to a playoff spot.

Secondly there's no chance the coaching staff is changed during the season... maybe in the summer but not before that.

I bet the flames trade a goalie for a forward (ie: Gilles for some 3rd line plug) and that's it.

And Gio is out best defenseman every single night, no chance he's moved either.
