I'd like to see him stay in Ottawa, but Melnyk is just such a colossal douche.
Agreed on both accounts. I wonder what that fan who donated his liver thinks about him now. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'd be asking for my organ back. I'm still amazed some pleb actually donated a body part to a rich sports team owner. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
What a troll! I love Marchand
It actually looked to me like he was trying to be a decent guy for a change. He was not the one who combined the message with the gif. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I wasn't trying to be a decent guy.

Yeah I know he didn't, but there's no doubt in my mind he tweeted what he said to get a reaction out of people, especially Canucks fans. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Here's his follow up tweet to the haters.
Does it look to you like he's confused about the feedback he's gotten?
Pretty wild coincidences in the Canucks game yesterday
Daniel #22
Henrik #33
Daniel scored his 22nd goal of the year at the 33 second mark of the 2nd periond
Daniel scored his 23rd of the year at the 2:33 second mark of overtime
Both assisted by Henrik
I think the first tweet was actually sincere, but that follow up is pure sass, haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
The first surprised me (and likely others) so I think he felt he needed to tone it down with the 2nd. Heaven forbid he actually gains a reputation of being a decent guy. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Since I don't know, is there a history of Vancouver and Marchand?
Sig nuked by mod.
Did you not see the gif Rage posted? That pretty much sums up what Vancouver thinks of Marchand. In 2011 we got 7 games with which to get to know him better than we'd like. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
He's a rat who plays the game with zero level of sportsmanship, who always breaks NHL policy and sometimes actually tries to permanently hurt people. I'm all for seeing a guy be super competitive, but he takes it well past the line.
I've never been a fan of the Sedin boys but if you can't go out with a cup like a real legend (Ray Bourque for example) then that's gotta be the most perfect final home game you could ever ask for, it was pretty fucking sweet. Their joint career is an amazing story from start to finish, I don't think we'll ever see something like that again that's for sure.

Haha Its so funny to see it from the other side. That series made me fall in love with Marchand. I loved watching him run around on the sedins and all the liberties he took. I absolutely despise the canucks so it was alot of fun to watchThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It's certainly a way to help yourself win games. Most of that team that won the cup were playing really cheap. To me, there is no place in hockey for being unsportsmanlike and trying to injure, but each to their own. The only thing that offset it a bit is that the Canucks were doing it in a different way by diving all over the ice. It was embarrassing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. On other news, I hate to positively comment on anything Oilers related, but their team and fans showed a lot of class last night in honouring the Sedins. I was thoroughly impressed.
