Looking to book a round of golf while I'm in Oahu. Anyone play any of the courses there?
I'm leaning towards the Royal Hawaiian golf club.

I don't know if those courses can handle your 330 average drives...probably need to hit smooth 9 irons to 250 to be in play.
But if you go further north, both courses at Turtle Bay are great. Oahu sucks for golf compared to the other islands.
It's epic to witness, I can assure you. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
When did you play the Turtle Bay courses? I was attracted to the Royal Hawaiian because of the inland location, sheltered from the trade winds that could reak havoc on play.
In 2011 or 2012, I can't remember which year. But they are always in fantastic shape.
Was at a wedding in Hawaii and a bunch of us went to the Royal Hawaiian. We were going to do the Arnold Palmer course at Turtle Bay but decided on this one. Loved the course, but very tough. Lots of jungle. I bought a box of balls and had just one left after the round. The other guys in the group ended up having to get some more after the front nine. If you don't hit the fairway, it's done.
