I received a photo radar ticket today. Looked at it and it says 75 in 60 zone so $120. Then I looked at the date and time: JUN 11 in the morning! SAME LOCATION. I had no idea I got flashed that morning since the sun was already out So this ticket is unexpected.

Looks like the one for 18th will be coming soon *sigh*

So if I bring both tickets to the JOP, will he say "two tickets huh within a week? you speed too much! why should I reduce them anyhow?"

Don't bring both in at the same time? Get one reduced and swallow the gravy for the other one? Haha.

Alternative: wear moustache for 2nd ticket.

I'm sure I'll get a diff prosecutor if I go in 2nd time haha

FYI, this fuqr sits in a crescent next to the Abom ski shop parking lot, pointing NB on crowchild. You can't see him because of the fence. Someone should plant a tree there!

    Or....

Just slow down a bit because you know there's a good possibility of an officer sitting there taking pictures - it's like 10th Street NW just as you start going up the hill by Riley Park, there's often a unit parked on the grass on the east side of the road taking pictures of NB speeders. Keen drivers will make note of such memorable locations and adjust accordingly. Now I guess one can play speeding Russian roulette but I like keeping my monies in my pocket and it especially feels much better with those monies in my pocket when I've gone past an officer and the pictures being taken are not of me. I guess the reason officers keep using these spots is that they continue to prove to be good honeypots.
    Will fuck off, again.

I've gone to the Crown with 3 tickets before (2 speeding, 1 improper equipment) and they reduced them all, no questions asked

So I received that expected 2nd ticket yesterday: 81 in 60 so $175.

    $295 total.

So I guess I will bring both notices to JOP before court dates and straight up ask him to reduce them.

BTW, where can I buy those license plate covers which reflect the flashes?

^^ I thought if you get a ticket in the same spot in a short timeframe they will drop one of them cause you need to be notified of the first ticket before they can ticket you again.

Should I bring all 3 to the JOP? *sigh*

Take them all and accuse them of racial profiling.

Just curious as to where you may have heard that? You can commit and offence 10 different times in 10 minutes and get charged for each occurrence. Time between charges doesn't nullify the validity of a charge, so I'm just wondering about the provenance of what you said.

How about you stop driving like a piece of shit. Seriously, you are bragging about your constant speeding, and asking how to get away with it? And even worse, people are on your side?!?!?!?!?!

Jesus Beyond, we can't honestly in any way, shape, or form back this guy?!?!?!

It's getting hilarious the battles everyone is picking based on the member that is posting.

This happened to me and a co-worker told me this happened to them as well and one of the tickets was dropped and that was what the JP said. This was about 15 years ago....... maybe he just got a really nice JP. Other then that I have no proof of this claim and I ended up paying my two tickets cause I just started a new position and couldn't afford to take the time off to dispute them. But I agree with you 100%, hence why I just paid my fines with no questions asked.

Photo radar is just a cash cow and not really an effective way to deter speeders since you can just go to the JOP and get it reduced every time. So even with SEKS $470 total for 3 tickets, it'll probably be only around $300 that is actually collected if the time is taken to go see the JOP. No demerits so no real long term effect if you keep on offending. Anyways, it's just public info that is being provided, not encouragement to keep doing it.

I would just pay it and stop wasting time. This kind of frequency, you won't get any break from JOP. Unless you go 3 different times and get 3 different JOP.

How about running an app like Waze for warning OR just pay attention to the road? Unless you drive all around town for a living, there is no way you don't notice all the cameras you face daily.
