There is no real money in working for a living. Never had been.

Real money is in owning something, but for that you expose your capital to risk. Risk, and reward.

So what was the main play for Cenovus buying Husky? The only thing I can see is the retail stream so it's full end-to-end, but I haven't been in the O&G industry in ages so it's definitely a short-sighted comment.

That’s the risk side of it, lots of business owners who don’t make shit.

The ability to generous free funds flow at 30-36 dollars. Great deal for their debt holders, keep at tow giant risk entities paying their bills.

For their “equity” holders? I got nothing.

Thank goodness you don't need "real money" to have a nice lifestyle and retire. That's all I aspire to.

You'd like to keep it to situations where you need to "call Mr. Wolf" from Pulp Fiction. "Time is of the essence".
We have a Mr. Wolf on quick dial for ERP software. Yeah, he is in high demand and ain't cheap.

I just think it’s funny how people always seem to get all surprised at people who make fuck off money, and how they don’t make any of it by working for a salary.

Is it a sin to horde two years worth of annual household income in my account for JIC situation? #cashIsKing

Probably, since you could use at least 1 year's worth to make it work for you, even if it's a measly 3% return.

You would get a better response humblebragging in a poor person's forum like r/Calgary.

I wouldn’t call it a sin, but I’d say you’re slightly foolish to not have that money invested in TSLA or other incredible stonks.

You’d likely have 7 years income by now if you listened to beyond financial advice.

A sin? No. Capital inefficient? Probably.

I actually missed the $140/hour details. If you guys want that hourly wage, teach English in HK. Its around 100-150CAD/hour if you are white haha..

Ive met "English" teachers from czechoslovakia who could barely speak English and making decent bucks. God damn stupid.

Quarter of it should be in the bank account. Another quarter buried in the back yard. A quarter in gold. A quarter in crypto.

    Cover all the JIC bases.

You could also sew diamonds into the kids clothing like the Romanov's did, though it didn't really work out well for them. But a handy trick if you need to make a quick getaway.

Does 40 hours a week even cover rent for a 100 sq ft apartment in HK?

Is it respect thing or something? Hongers will respect whitie more in an english class than an Asian looking person, even if Asian person is just as qualified or better?
