Hwy 41 winter driving

Hey y'all

Headed east this week, starting a new job where I'll be driving an hour north of medicine hat every day. I currently drive a Mazda 3 that has treated me well in the city during colder conditions, but do any of you have experience driving on Hwy 41 in winter? Will I need studded tires, or is the highway plowed early and often?

Kinda want to use this as an excuse to get into a new truck for the 4x4

Did it every day last winter. It was usually pretty good, only a couple times I can think of where it was actually slippery. I don't think it was really that snowy though so plowing wasn't ever an issue.

Decent set of winters and you'll be good to go

We never get that much snow in that neck of the woods and if we do its so damn windy that it blows off the road. The shitty part about highway 41 is towns with any sort of services are few and far between. I've blown a tire and lost an alternator on that road before, its not a fun time. Get a good set of winters and you will be fine.
