Anyone here running Shaw for their bar or restaurant etc?

Just looking for some clarification, right now I'm paying about $200 for 2 phones, internet and cable. It's an old package that's grandfathered but has everything I need.

Everything is fine except they cut my sports channels (TSN & Sportsnet) and based on my seating capacity (83) I have to pay an extra $120 a month to get those channels. It seems like a lot of money or am I just being cheap?

You are using the sports channels to bolster your business. $120 seems like a bargain to me if it draws in customers You're the only one who can decide what value it is to you.

Lol I get that part but my store is hardly the destination to draw people in for sports. I am the one watching it! and good for Rogers & Bell as it pads their coffers for sure.

Just wanted to see if the cost was in line with whaT others are paying and if it can be negotiated or not. The CSR at Shaw said their rates are the lowest.

If it's just you watching, could you have some package like roger gamecentre and stream to your phone and cast to the TV?

Well I mean other patrons watch it too but they just don't go out of there way to come here and watch sports.

Anyway, I'll just bite the bullet and pay. It just caught me by surprise. I did manage to negotiate my plan from $207 to $160 so that'll help reduce the sting of the $120 surcharge to get TSN/Sportsnet.

Also, that Sports channel rate was mandated by the content providers (i.e. Rogers) and Shaw has to comply.
