Why is everyone assuming first responders are blind and can't just look into the car?
    Because of this:

    http://www.snopes.com/horrors/parental/babysign.asp

I think it is about time people realised the origin of all those ridiculous “baby on board” signs (and such inevitable copy-cat idiocies as “mother-in-law in boot” and “rottweiler on board”).

There was a tragic start to those signs.

Some years ago, there was a car crash in Canada. The police located adult and child members of a family trapped in the crashed car, rescued them and sent them to hospital to recover. The car was towed to an impounding yard, and the following day police discovered a baby’s body frozen to death but otherwise uninjured under one of the seats.

A campaign was then started in Canada to alert rescuers to the fact that there was a “baby on board”, which needed to be located in the event of a crash. If a baby is not on board, the sign is removed.
Basically bullshit and people believed it.

I have an infant and I don't get the meaning behind those signs. Just another example of vanity I suppose.

I think its more narcissism than vanity. People cannot handle the concept that people don't give a fuck about them and their kids.

I had a cousin who called me, angry, the other day because i stopped liking the pictures and videos of her kids on Facebook after 2 weeks of bombardment. "what the fuck is my problem". Some peoples lives are just that small...

    Can't make this shit up.

I've seen a dinosaur eating a Jesus fish. Liked that.

I actually support the normal fish stickers. It tags people to avoid on the roads and in life in general

It's funny, in my neighbourhood the worst drivers are middle aged men (sometimes women) in minivans. I think the stickers are there because they don't GAF anymore and hope that someone else will to keep their kids safe.

I had this conversation with one of the guys who works for me. He was trying to tell me when I have kids I will want a minivan and all that nonsense. I couldn't giving up on life that much to buy a minivan, putting some god awful sticker on my car...

Did that actually happen? I'm having a hard time believing someone actually would call someone angry for not liking photos on Facebook. More to the story perhaps? Did you say something or did something happen prior to this?
Not saying you're lying, but just saying it does sounds like bullshit lol.

I honestly wish I wasn't so I wouldn't have to put up with it.

I have some family members with some very messed up life priorities...

The level of black sheepism I am subjected to for having things like a career ( or a job at all ) and not dropping everything to fly out there to visit any time someone pops out a kid is amazing.

    Nothing surprises me anymore

No stickers at all on any of my vehicles and my kids are now 12 and 14 and don't seem to suffer from any road rage that may have been caused by my erratic driving. I love my van , not just for the kids but for the utility of it.

I've had people ask me if something's wrong because I didn't like their stuff while I was liking other stuff. Fact is, I live a really busy life, and I'm only on FB pretty much only when I'm taking a shit and need a break, so my facebook attention span is only maybe 10-15 mins a week. If your photos or witty comments missed the news feed cut in my narrow shit window, you ain't getting liked.

I've seen cases where people were pissed off because they're not getting enough likes for their shit like it's the most important thing in the world.

I have several family members "hidden" so that they never show up in my newsfeed. It's greatly improved the quality of my life.

The only time "Baby on Board" was even remotely cool, was the Simpsons Episode.

I liked the irony. No need to draw unneeded attention to myself while driving spiritedly so I took it off.

That George Carlin bit is hilarious!
