    Default Chestermere Boulevard plan

Chestermere Boulevard plan - screen scraped the image below out of this plan. Interesting graphic - lower speeds to come?

And for those that might be interested, a link to the city of Chestermere's document center - I wish I could find one like this for the city of Calgary.

No real surprise here, there's been a ton of development out there the last 15 years.

No problem with slowing down 1A. If that creates a jam, it will only hurt the people who lives there.

If people in Chestermere voted people in to implement this, who am I to question that. Screwing with HWY 1 tho, you may hear more complains. But after all, we force people on HWY 1 to drop to 50 going thru Calgary, so who are we to judge.

IMO it would be repeating a mistake Calgary has for a long time been trying to recover from and it's costing us an arm and a leg. Why repeat it?

We built a bypass for highway 1, albeit recently.

If they are having a disproportionate amount of fatalities there, then that's just fine with me.

With that said, it is a pretty open area with good visibility so I don't believe there is a need to knock it down that much. We're already slowed down with residential limits of only 40.

Haha, it's so true. The facebook group "I Love Chestermere" is some of the best facebook content there is.
