Can you vacuum them if you're changing that frequently? Structurally they're probably still fine after a month, I would guess anyways.
I stand corrected:

Jesus am I supposed to change my furnace filter monthly? LMFAO - that shit is expensive - fuck this house
I posted a sale in the furnace filter thread; $10 for a 3-pack. If that's expensive ... perhaps homeownership isn't for you. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Monthly in summer with AC use. Every 2-3 the rest of the year. Buy packs of a dozen.

What is an Air Filter in this context? I googled “home air filter” and first link it took me to home Depot USA page with all of the furnace filters. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Using too fine of a filter? Merv 8 or lower for AC use reccomended. Or new furnace fan that can be adjusted to blow harder. Airflow is the root of your issue.

I have a 2 stage, but it's not wired into the thermostats, so it'll only speed up for heat, but not A/C or fan-only. There's not enough wires from furnace to thermostat to enable it (at this point). So A/C mode always runs on the slower speed. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Do you have refrigerant added every year? If it’s leaking, the indoor coil temp drops below freezing and will ice up. A healthy system stays above 4°c heat exchanger. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There are solutions for that, and that is 100% your problem. Focus on that.

For anyone looking this year, I got a lot of quotes.
Prices were generally consistent regardless of brand. For a 1900 sq.ft above ground using either a 2.5/3 tonne unit, installed was $5,000-$5,800.
Unfortunately our house is attached and have only one walkway to the back, so we'll need to go with a slim unit which bumps the price closer to $8,000. The front is possible but ugly.
Thinking we'll have to sweat it out this year and do it next. Settled on a company and Daikin unit (12 year parts/labour), slimmest and quietest at 56dB!

Thinking of applying a Sound Blanket to reduce some of the AC Noise.

Any one tried applying one of these?
Year 2 of my mini-split and happy every minute with this thing. 1.5 tonne and its silent, can barely hear the fan running even when next to it. Increase in electricity bill last year wasn’t even noticeable.
Night and day over that portable POS attached to the window.
Between 1 and 4 according to thy Savoir Google. I suspect that is just the mechanical rating in a de-energized state. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Could I see some details of the install of your mini split? Are you in a two story or bungalow. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
