Anyone repeal a parking ticket, due to their own plate # mistake?

I went to the zoo with my daughter last week, and drove my wife's car but mistakenly put my plate number into the machine instead. I submitted it to the online repeal thing, but was wondering if anyone has actually successfully repealed one in a similar situation like this?

I did that at the university of Alberta. Mine was a typo and I kept the receipt and submitted it with my appeal. They waived the ticket for me.

That's a good idea, but the Zoo machines don't ask for a zone, not sure there is one? I don't use city parking enough to justify yet another app on my phone, hahah.

You don't use the machines at all. You just enter the zone number in the app. There are definitely zone numbers plastered all over the zoo lot.

I'm ghetto and use the phone number dial in method. There's also a text method.

If you don't use it that much it may be important to note that it's prepaid. You send them $25 of your money (minimum) to open an account and they draw from that balance.

I had one repealed like that earlier this year. Got a new car, forgot to enter the LP number in my park plus profile on the app only had my other car but was able to prove that I had an active parking session at the time and it was repealed within a week.

you absoloutely can share an account. My account has three plates and two phones hooked up to it. Neither of us use the app, old school call-in system FTW.

You can do it via text message as well if you don't want the app. I have never used it but my wife swears by it.
