The Supra Twin Turbo cost $67,500 according to this old codger who bought one brand new in 94. they were about 40g USD MSRP according to the intertoobs at cheapest.

Since you said i remember wrong and claimed they were 40g canadian for a TT, here is a USD window sticker. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
52k usd worked out to about 72k canadian in 94-95, and as we all probably know canadians got ripped off on cars compared to our neighbours south of the border. If they were such a bargain too, why did they sell so few in Canada?
btw, the NSX MSRP started out at about 61k USD in 91. by 94 or so it was above 70g, but IMO its perfectly reasonable to cross shop both those cars even though they had 20g difference. it's like cross shopping a 130g car to a 160g car today. if you can afford 130g, you can likely afford 160g (who the hell buys a 130k car in today's dollars that can barely finance it?). The only person I know who's dad bought one of those new did cross shop those 2 cars.
canadian MSRP wasn't 150g in the early 90s either. What actually happened is in 91 when they came out they were pulling a 40-50% premium over MSRP, so a NSX that was 60g usd MSRP in 91 probably did actually sell for high 80s or low 90s USD. So its likely someone may have paid 150k canadian for one to have one of the very first ones, and while by 94/95 msrp had creeped up, the premium they were selling for was long gone and they weren't selling that well. You were probably able to pick one up for 110k in canada when the supra was selling for about 80g. I also remember dodge stealth RT Turbos retailed for about 80g at that time, because my dad looked at a slightly used one around then and I remember the guy showing his paperwork that said he paid about 80g.
