Default Looking for a Diesel Tuner

Looking for a nice tow tune and DPF/EGR delete stuff without breaking the bank. The clowns at Brandell tried to sell me a one tune EFI live with a full delete package for $7K. Nope

I should be looking at $700ish for the tune, couple hundy for the unlock, and about another $500 for the delete stuff. Tops.

    Any recommendations?

What make? I'd go to different shops depending on what I owned.

    Why not this?

Seems to me when I was looking at a new Ram, you needed a Bully Dog tuner to unlock the ECM, or something like that, and then if you wanted something other than the Bully Dog tunes you had to use another tuner. But I was reading about this and it looks pretty easy, and has what you're looking for. I think it's what I would do, if I hadn't bought an untunable Duramax.

Very expensive and you still need a tune. EFI Live is the way to go with the cummins. A EFI Live with a tune by Anarchy in CA is the gold standard on the forums. A setup like that would be $1000 shipped. I would need to be unlocked but i don't need to buy the fully Bully Dog, i can pay to have someone unlock it with an existing one. With the route i am taking, i dont need a full time monitor. I think i have what i want licked, i just need to buy the gear and find an unlock.

Oh, okay. I knew there was something about needing to unlock the ECM with a Bully Dog too, but I thought you had to buy the tuner. If you don't need it that makes it easier.

I have a minimaxx on my 6.7. Its ok, not worth what they sell for but options are limited

I'm thinking of going efi live so maybe we can work out a deal

I have actually been reconsidering the EFI live and am leaning towards the MM3. The reason being the trans tuning is included and they are releasing options for things like TPMS setting and wheel diameter compensation in the coming weeks. It also is the only unit i am aware of that can unlock AND tune/delete in one thus not wasting a bunch of cash. Its more than an EFI Live setup but if you still have to pay for an unlock somehow the cost gets better.

I heard the Minimaxx went downhill after H&S folded. Have you still been getting support?

the trans unlock codes are still available for 200? All the tunes are out there that are needed i think. My pyrometer module isn't working, having a bit of a tough time finding a replacement.
