Default Mercedes and Ferrari denies McLaren

So, only options for McLaren, stay with Honda and cross fingers, or try and work out a deal with Renault, who's maxxed on on teams. We're fucked.

Being a McLaren fan is worse than being an Oilers fan, at least the Oilers had a draft lottery to look forward to. McLaren's going to be stuck at the bottom for a while unless they decide to build their own engine or some shit.

Thats pretty sad. Renault would have been a nice to have.
Mclaren wont be able to build their own engines. They will be too far in the R & D. I guess they will have to wait till 2020 when the current engine rules expire. Maybe then they will be able to catchup.

In other news TOTO Toilets confirmed they will be sponsoring Alonso full time. Coupled with the launch of their new Flush master Turbo 5000 toilet (with a side button for DRS hyperflush mode) designed to handle the toughest of craps.

I think Alonso is resigned to taking a dump prior to each race in the hope it lightens up the car a bit. Good to see TOTO doing their part.

Building their own engines isn't a realistic option, since they don't build their own road car engines' from top to bottom. They partner with Ricardo, to build their engines right now. They have a competitive aero package too, so with the right engine they could be fighting for podiums.

Oh snap, I was hoping they didn't go to Ferrari. Renault won't touch it because TR and the Renault teams are good mid-card.

    Honda needs an overhaul.

I have hope that 2020 brings porsche. Honda would have to do something miraculous at this point to be considered as a manufacturer.

Over/under on Honda outright buying a team and having a full factory team?

Let VAG finish Dieselgate first, then we'll see.
