How do you make them non-addictive? I'm thinking sawdust.

Oh zen not only did you not read the article this time, you didn't even read the title!

The FDA is looking at forcing cigarette companies to drastically drop the nicotine levels in their cigarettes.

I believe FDA rulings are pretty much ironclad, if they say a specific drug is illegal over a specified amount, its illegal. If the FDA rules against sliced bread, it is illegal. If the FDA says that every loaf of bread must be wrapped in a sanitary wax paper, then that is the only way it can be sold.

They pretty much have autonomy over what is OTC and what is not.

Whatever milligram amount it works out to be, they seem to be targeting the new cigarettes to be 1/20th the potency of the current tobacco cigarettes.

    Dun dun duhhh!

BTW: I totally missed the 19 different anti-bacterial chemicals that were banned from sale.

So the smokers will just smoke more to get their fix.

Win for government and tobacco companies revenue.

Apparently that doesn't happen for the studies they've done. They are suggesting about a 90% reduction. So kinda makes sense as it would be like replacing all the beer with o'douls.

Nicotine is the only good thing about smoking, its a super drug. Brain and mood boosting. They just put it in a shitty delivery system that kills you and makes you smell like shit and makes you look like an old worn out ball glove
