    Default Garage Floor Coatings

Looking for recommendations, pricing and types of coatings people have used in their garages.

I'm looking for a lighter color finish like white (if possible) to brighten up the garage. I've heard to try and use finishes that automotive shops or airplane hangars have.

    Thanks in advance.

Pictured below is what I'd be looking for, as well I know I will need to add texture to it so that when it's wet or snowy the car won't slide into the wall

hey I own a concrete sealing and cleaning company and we are just getting into garage coatings. I would suggest looking at metalic epoxy finishes and can add polyurethane or polyaspartic sealer on top to add some protection. This is because the epoxy on its own does scuff and will show signs of wear if there is alot of traffic over the area. You can also add a silane based grip to the epoxy and sealer for extra grip because when wet the epoxy can be a bit slippery, it doenst change the look of the finish. Iam just starting to get into this type of concrete finishing so if you were interested in having me come do an estimate and do the job for you we can work out a really good deal.

Can you provide a rough estimate on a 24' x 24' garage without a site visit? I'd just like to get an idea to see if its something I would pursue further without wasting someones time to come for a site visit.

I recently had mine done using zonegarage.ca. They even did my stairs and walls in additional to the floors all in 1 day.

Should you wait x amount of years before you do a garage floor treatment/coating? Ours was just poured this year and some cracks are forming. Will ti settle over the course of the next year and then should I look into the coating?

I put a test patch of POR-15 on the floor of an industrial plant to test it, all the professional coatings in that place failed after few months and lifted from the repeated exposure to hot water and cleaning chemicals...And when I mean professionally applied, this means guys coming with these giant concrete floor sanders that take off the top surface to get rid of contaminants and etch the finish for adhesion mixing multi part coatings on site, expensive stuff... I just put a single application coat of POR15 product with a normal paint brush on a bare unprepped floor, and its still there, more than a year later, right near a steam condensate drain..That stuff might be expensive, but it works.. I've never like floor coatings, but I'll be doing my next shop with the POR-15.
