    Default Dielectric Grease

Hey, a question about dielectric grease. I got new spark plug wires, and was briefly told i need this...

Can someone explain this to me? Is it really necessary? Do I just coat the contacts with this stuff? Thin coat? Heavy coat? Can I find this stuff at Canadian Tire? Or Home Depot?

    Thanks!

just a thin even coat to promote conductivity between the plug end and the wire, most companies include it in there wire packs.

I think it might make removal easier too.

    Non conductive.
Forms an excellant O2 and moisture block.
Can be used as a lubricant for bushings

You can buy this from crappy tire. You can use silicon dielectric grease as well.

Coat the spark plug conector / boot. It creates a seal from moisture.
