The rev-off is a cool idea, since most car shows you really only get to look at the cars without hearing the beast buried within.

Been down in 2014 and 2016, my dad won a couple awards in his car. It's a nice show with some really high end and interesting stuff. The rev off makes me cringe though because most people start their cars up after sitting for 3+ hours and immediately start banging it off the limiter on a cold engine.

I enjoy the "rev off"...becuase some of those machines sound so hinnggggggggggg...but yes, like you every year I wait for one of those motors to pop haha....

If you look at the itinerary, they actually have slotted time before the rev-off to warm engines up. Whether or not it is enough time is another thing, but kind of funny they actually put it in to the events list.

Very few people actually do warm up their engines at the show I find.
