Sandstone / Macewan Review

I lived in Sandstone for 6 years, a few blocks up from the bus turnaround on Sandstone Drive. I actually really liked living there, almost everybody on our cul-de-sac kept their houses and yards in good shape, there was a lot of pride of ownership, regardless of the varied ethnicities, it was quiet and nothing really ever happened there. The area that backs up along Berkshire Blvd between the lights at Beddington/Sandstone and then Sandarac is basically the lower end/rental type area, most of Sandstone has larger, detached houses.

Beddington has one of the highest concentrations of duplexes in Calgary, so it's very much a lower end rental type neighborhood for the most part. I went to the stores and whatnot and never had any issues or felt off or anything either, always was fine, that said I've been out of the city for 7 years now.

I'd live there again if I ever moved back.

We lived in Sandstone for over 10 years. Nice area and pretty convenient. Our neighbors were decent. We were not far from the Esso. This is when I was a bachelor with 2 roommates in my house. My wife mentioned she wouldn't mind living in Airdrie. More house for the money. Getting to know the new communities or neighbors would be interesting as well as trying the local businesses. We shall see, it's on our minds.
