I'm with an oil field service company in a technical/engineering roll and have most of a sleeve (missing one piece) and wear polos almost all of the time. About 70% of my clients have them too. If I am going to meet a client for the very first time and they are older I will tend to wear long sleeve shirts but if I happen to forget that day they've never once batted an eye. I've never had anything negative said about my tattoos or the fact they are showing, usually people want a closer look before continuing the meeting.

If this event is internal I wouldn't give it a second thought.

I've been to several meetings where we derailed a bit and started talking about someone's tattoo then someone else jumps in and show and tell theirs. We are a mid sized O&G semi casual dress code with casual jeans on Fridays. It's all good as long as it's not degrading in any way and not on your face. Show it with pride.

Well dang, apparently I have been far too conservative!

I've been getting tired of sitting on a patio in a long sleeve with the heat we've had this summer! Polo's it is.

    Cheers.

Have a 3/4 sleeve and work at a meduim size O&G company, regularly meet with clients and daily meetings, never had a problem.
Makes the meeting more interesting when people start to ask questions about it or start showing of theirs.

I don't work in a corporate environment, but I work with corporate people all the time from execs to mucky-mucks from O&G to Banking etc, and I have full arms, legs, chest, neck and throat, hands, fingers all completely covered. Never has done anything but spark conversation and has allowed me to break through the stereo-types with those that were initially unsure. It all comes down to your personality and confidence and your ability to show you are intelligent and not an idiot...

Could not possibly care less myself, and I've never met anyone, management or otherwise, who didn't feel the same way.

Unless you had an outrageous face tattoo or tears below the eyes or something, nobody cares.

I think it would be easier if you mentioned the body parts where you aren't tattooed. Haha.

And from my personal experience what I've found is that white people (not European but actual Canadian/American) generally are way more accepting of things like tattoos and piercings on others. Whereas Asians, Arabs, EI's and other ethnic backgrounds are far more judgmental. They say and think things like..oh you're a lawyer or a doctor but you have tattoo's..so you must be terrible.

Funny you mention that, I regularly go back to the Philippines and if you have a tattoo there your judged as a past criminal or in a gang.
Actually had a couple of people approach me at different times if I was in a gang or came out of jail. Hard for them to believe that its publicly accepted here in NorthAmerica.

I heard this as well, but I've been there twice since I got my tattoo (half sleeve) and experienced none of that. It was hot AF, so it was also exposed quite a bit with sleeveless shirts. Surely there might be some silent judgement, but nothing that I could point out during my time there. I spent alot of time in the provinces, BGC and various parts of Manila and Buhol as well. I guess different experiences with difference folks, but I was generally treated nicely.
