I have been doing as much research as I can and am coming to some sort of idea as to what needs to happen.
Haven't been on in a while but Beyond has and always will be my first instinct when I need info.
So here it is.
Can pick up an integra on the cheap. Has an h22a with a built bottom end, not sure if the head is built but im assuming not completely stock. Friend of mine's car. He was in BC and the timing belt slipped off and the car died. Says he was goin 50/60km per hour. I know it's an interference engine and chances are high it needs head rebuilt or new head. Slim chance no head damage, bent valves, etc but doubtful. I got lucky when i slipped the belt on my b18 in my last teg but from reading h22's seem to almost always get bent valves when the belt slips.
Question im having a hard time figuring out is. Will there and can there be damage to the bottom end? Im assuming nothing can happen to the transmission.
Lot's done to this thing and I feel like it's worth saving and since my last teg was stolen before I could finish it I wouldn't mind going at it again. I know I can pick up a head for cheap if need be and labor shouldn't be too bad on that, might even be able to do some myself.
In your opinions what direction would you go? Rebuild top end or new head?
